What is mediation

Q.

What is mediation?

A.

A mediation is an informal meeting where the parties meet with a mediator to see if the case can get settled. A mediator does not make any rulings or final decisions, but rather tries to facilitate an agreement between the parties.

Again, it’s very informal. A mediation usually lasts a few hours, perhaps a day, and if the dispute doesn’t get settled, the case moves on towards a trial.
