The landscape of college athletics has changed dramatically in the last few years and will continue to change in the foreseeable future.

NIL (Name Image Likeness) deals allow a college student to earn compensation for the use of one's name, image and/or likeness.

Currently, state law regulates NIL activity, and the respective college/university is to be informed of any proposed NIL deal before the college student binds himself or herself to such a contract.
